HOLY FUCKING SHIT
You know, it's always when I get to work that I realise I haven't updated for a week. *muses upon this* I've got to stop doing that. Anyway, quick rundown of the week. This holidays has been much more eventful than my norm, which is... slobbing around in the house and going to bed at like 5am every day. Er.

So I called my mum at about 1.45 a.m. last Friday... )

Unfolding Florence: The Many Lives of Florence Broadhurst )

Let them eat cake! )

I ACTUALLY DID MY WASHING. Gasp! ... Or some of it anyway. )

That's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheeeeeit, I'm gonna make a super-sonic man outta you! )

Wednesday was the first uneventful day I'd had for about a week. I should have done uni work. In fact I should have been doing uni work most days, but shh. I did at least clean my computer desk. I had great plans for following this up with uni work, but, uh, that didn't happen.

What did happen was some fic reading, and (rather more interestingly) TRC 128, House 3x02 and later in the evening the final episode of this season of the Chaser's War On Everything, which is an Australian satire that everyone should download HERE. (They don't even mind, the last 7 episodes are up for download on the official site.)

Now, about House and Tsubasa. First, I loved both of them. ♥

More specifically, I almost shrieked at the screen during the bit in Tsubasa (you know the bit I'm talking about). It's especially funny because I have a tendency to do that kind of thing in AUs, and now CLAMP is doing it in their AU. Hee.

As for House, Chase is a freak and I love him, and I kind of really want House/Cuddy at the moment. Not so much fic, I just want the House/Cuddy that happens in the show. Also it's nice to see how Cuddy, Wilson and Cameron are the ones who care about House the most, and the different ways in which they care.

Jumping back to that mention of fic-writing, I have FINALLY finished writing a scene of CCS!X that I've been stalled on for several months now, so me for the win. 3 more scenes and Part II is finished. I feel the need to add that Part II is already 12,000 words long and the last scene could be up to 5000 words long, much like the last scene of Part I was.

As for today, it was very unexciting except for when I left cheese-on-toast in the griller too long and burned it so disgustingly it was inedible and tasted like nothing but char and I had to do it over. I fed half of one of the failed pieces to Ebony, which was way, way more than I should have. *cough*

Back on the topic of writing, though, it's been a whole week, so I'm going to remind you all about Christmas fics again. :D *is very obnoxious* Starting with the current status!

CHRISTMAS FIC LIST AS AT 14/9/06: In order of request )

*BANGS GONG* CHRISTMAS, OI!

Seishirou- I traumatise you with LOVE!
Despite copious amounts of procrastination both Tuesday and Wednesday, I managed to get my Legal Theory paper done in time. Just. Pinpoint references are the bane of my existence. I loathe them, I loathe them, I utterly detest them. And it wasn't like I had 50 footnotes for this one, either, which I did for the international law. (You know you're a law student when you have that many footnotes in a 2000 word paper.)

So anyway, my week to date:

La. )

In other news, Namco clearly HATES ME. Aside from the fact that my Tales of Destiny/Destiny II ship is more ironically dead than even Seishirou/Subaru, Namco is now releasing another limited edition pre-order Japan-only seiyuu dvd, this time with its remake of Tales of Destiny. WHY, NAMCO, WHY.

Speaking of, I have started writing again. However, because inspiration is never convenient, I started one Tales of Destiny humour fic and one Tales of Destiny II angst fic, despite being in the middle of a KH fic and Part II of CCS!X. (And wanting to start Boyband!X, too.)

The point of this, though, is that I was reminded that Christmas is 3 months away. And this may seem a long time to most of you, but to me-- considering exams and my extreme sports version of procrastination-- now is a VERY GOOD TIME to start raking in the Christmas requests.

CHRISTMAS FIC REQUESTS START HERE, PEOPLE.

If you don't know yet, maybe just comment to tell me you're still thinking, so I'll be able to approximate how many there'll be. I mean, I keep the requests open until fairly late, but I do like early warning.

Also! Meffie, your birthday is coming up, right? Do you want birthday fic?

HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Hokaaaaaaaay, update time. Why? Because I am sleepy and at uni and am avoiding working on my APL tute problem, why else?

Yesterday was really lovely, or at least the first part. Got to uni at somewhere between 8.30~9 because mum was sick so I went in with dad, and [info]amayonolune and I went shopping until 1. Mostly clothes shopping, though we skimmed JBs and EB and stopped for lunch and Rainforest Magic tea at Cafe Essen.

(on a sidenote, I asked about Twilight Princess at EB, having been confused by the case at the Woden store. Apparently as I had suspected it was a pre-order kind of ad thing, and had it confirmed that there's no release date set yet. It should apparently be in Australia in about August, September. Having been to the Nintendo site I can also add that the Japanese release doesn't have a date on it yet either, though because of region codes I won't be able to import anyway.)

Then Mari and I went back to the ANU and she crashed the first hour of my Japanese Grammar double before going back to the UC, which was fun. Sensei kept asking her questions about certain sentences that are a grey area in Japanese (some native speakers think they're okay, some don't) as the token native speaker in the class. I think he quite liked her. *grin*

My day was vaguely marred by APL, because I think my lecturer really doesn't like me and Tristan and that has an effect on my ability to maintain attention and things. It's a long story. I'll just say we got told off for talking, which, while not loudly, was fair enough. But the thing that bugs me about that is sometimes I need to talk to people about things relevant to the lecture to make sure my notes or okay or whatever.

Anyway.

Mum picked me up, I got to go buy the dinner, got home at 6. Bummed around on the net unproductively for several hours, sort of ended up gravitating towards and away from Hotel Babylon on the tv. I was too tired and lacking in attention span to want to spend two hours watching tv but somehow I kept going back to watch large chunks of it, which says something about its magnetic attraction.

Also spent part of the evening vaguely contemplating buying a DS and Children of Mana online. Ended up getting locked out of both my internet and telephone banking because I couldn't remember my passwords. Whooooooo, go me. XD I don't know whether I should wait for the DS Lite to be released here or just get the old one. The old ones are $199, and I don't know when the DS Lites will come out or how much they'll cost. They cost about $250 on Lik-Sang, to which postage would have to be added. I'm playing Tales of Destiny right now so I guess it's not like I need Children of Mana right this instant, anyway.

Speaking of Tales of Destiny, I didn't turn it on until quite late last night which was probably stupid, but I didn't realise what I was getting myself stuck in. I finally beat the Mahha Shounen while I was half watching Hotel Babylon-- twice, in fact-- which was all very well and good, but then I got on a ship.

And then that ship was attacked by pirates. (Well, not like we encouraged them, but.)

And I was like, okay, whatev man, and went through the pirate ship grabbing all the treasure with the hope that there'd be a save point before the boss, which there wasn't, and said boss was really easy. And I was like, whoo, that took longer than I was intending to stay up, what with being tired, so hopefully the scene won't take too long and the ship will get into port and I can save and sleep.

But then there was another pirate ship, and I thought maybe there'd be a save point on my own ship, but nooooooooo. So I fought through the second pirate ship, exactly the same as the first only with different treasure.

Me: FINALLY. IT'S 12.30 NEED BED.

But noooooooooo, there was a third pirate ship. At about 1am I finished that one and was like "pleeeeeease please let me sleep now" but NO THERE WAS A FOURTH.

I might have got the times wrong. If there was a fifth ship. But anyway, on the fourth or fifth, whichever, the layout was finally different and I was like "FINALLY THIS MUST BE IT" and I went through grabbing the treasure and by this point avoiding the enemies-- because I'd already gone up like 5 levels from my determination to grab all treasure, and could beat them up pretty much with ease-- until finally, FINALLY I got to the boss.

And there was a save point.

And I went to bed.

HALLELUJAH. That was at 1.30, btw. But yes, that was very bad timing on my part. And it wasn't like I was just going to turn it off without saving. Then I'd have to do it all again. And I'd be very unhappy. Unhappier than just sacrificing my sleep. <<

In conclusion, I am very tired, I had Japanese this morning which was fun and I did well on the quizzes I got back, and I am tired. And I should be doing my APL tute problem but I don't WANNA. So nyer.

Seishirou- I traumatise you with LOVE!
Today Mari and I went out on a date to watch Ice Age II, which was fun. Great movie. We bought green M&Ms from Big W (yeah, uh, it's a long story) and I also bought Hat Full of Sky and Wee Free Men from the children's books section.

And, because this needs to be shared: Mari and I are the kind of geeky fangirls that after 11 years of friendship, we can still spend 5 hours on the phone (10.30pm-3.30am) talking about various video games, manga and cd dramas. In the process of this, we were talking about Final Fantasy characters, and their relationships, which led to us comparing all of them, and we've come up with labels for each of them, starting from FF4 (look, neither of us played 3, 1 has NO SET CHARACTERS with, like, personalities and 2 isn't much better). With explanations!

NB: By XII, I mean 12. Not 10-2.

Final Fantasy IV~XII: Classified By Type of Romance )

Also, I watched episodes 2x20 and 2x21 of House tonight. Very awesome, liked Cameron a lot in them, and also House, even though half the time I was even more incredulous than usual at the outrageous things he was doing.

Account has expired. Sod! Oh well.

And now, I go off to play Tales of Destiny. Oh Stahn! You are so adorable! ♥
